Recognised for Digital Excellence!
Category : May 2016
Since the company was first born, it has focused on creating solutions for the insurance industry and heavily invested in software, with the first claims handling system, Cair, followed by the first comparison site, Comparabuy, which enables searches without a model number. By setting up the TRS Centre of Excellence a few years ago, TRS started offering apprenticeships in Software Development where Joe Andrews joined via TDM Wyre Academy. Joe has just been shortlisted for the Young Digital Professional of the Year.
The backbone to all of TRS’s current claims process and used by clients has been ClaimBrain, a validation database across products which enables the user to identify the liability at FNOL and today it is used by some of the largest insurance companies in the UK. Joe had started his career as an apprentice, working on Comparabuy and then moved onto ClaimBrain, creating the user dashboard, listing costs and timings of current claims.
This year, Joe has been influential in developing ClaimBrain further and creating new systems to partnership requirements. His work has facilitated in TRS’s broadening it’s portfolio and branching into new markets, all to be revealed later on this year. In-line with this, Joe develops MI to customers needs, automated cleansing abilities to data downloads and managing the in-house hardware and software as well as assisting in innovation meetings.
I really enjoy my job at The Replacement Service – there are lots of different challenges and interesting problems to solve, and no two days are the same. I’m given lots of freedom to choose the tools and technologies I work with, but I can also rely on support from colleagues if I need it. I’ve learnt so much since joining the company as an apprentice, and I’ve had a great time doing it.
TRS would like to congratulate all finalists for the V3 Digital Technology Leaders Awards and look forward to celebrating on 23rd June in London.
