Happy Birthday TRS!
Category : April 2016
Back in 1987, TRS alongside Lloyd’s of London wrote new for old policy wording and replacement as a way of settling claims. This month, TRS turns 27 and has come a long way….
In 1994, the original company was sold due to CEO, James Hyslop suffering a Polo incident leaving him hospitalised. A year later, the company set up again with software developers creating the first claims handling software and validation databases which continues to be used today. This initiative attracted the attention of the media with James featuring in the Sun Newspaper as well as insurance publications such as Insurance Times.
From 2000 onwards, TRS continued to develop technology solutions with the birth of ‘ClaimBrain’, an application which many of the insurance industry use. Combining this technology with traditional customer service, TRS was awarded the Pride Award from Nationwide and 2 years later made the final of British Business Boost.
Investing in young professionals has always been an interest of the company and looking towards the future, TRS set up the centre of excellence for apprentices back in 2013, with many apprentices training in IT, Software Development, Social Media, Marketing and many more. From the opportunities and training, TRS were delighted to be shortlisted at the Worcestershire Apprenticeship Awards, with the current reigning Worcestershire Apprentice of the Year employed at the company.
Today, TRS continues to support the insurance industry with solutions and broadens it’s portfolio to fit the requirements of our customers.
